The first year we moved into our new home (at Thanksgiving) we decided to host a New Year's Eve party with three other couples. As anyone who has hosted a party at their home before knows, it doesn't matter how much help everyone else pitches in with...the home-owners still have a lot to do.
#305 made this party (and the one we gave the year after) much, much, much easier. One of the other hostesses (thanks MMO) got her name from a local catering company as someone who would be willing to help out for the party. #305 came early, brought her son (who got hit on by some of my guests) to help, and stayed late. She buzzed around the party picking up glasses, trash, and I think occasionally guests (at least the first year). When the last guest left (or we pushed them out and locked the door - DP and KB) I turned around and it was like my fairy godmother had waved her wand and PRESTO! everything was clean. The dishes were clean, the floor was clean, the chairs were picked up, and all the leftover food was stored.
So worth the money we paid her...hence her and her son's big tip! Once again, I love people who do their jobs and do them right! No matter how big or how small...give 100% always! (Hear that Z?)
